About the project

We are a small group of people who are working toward collecting essays by different trans people in order to publish an essay collection, specifically targeted at a young adult audience.

This project has grown out of a frustration with not being able to recognize ourselves and our friends in the few books about trans experiences published in Danish. Thus we want to publish a collection of texts concerning the diverse experiences trans people have - stories that trans people would both like to tell and read. We want the texts to be autobiographical and about your own life and experiences.

It is equally important to us that all texts are written by trans people. We define trans people as all those who do not identify with the gender they where assigned at birth – including nonbinary people. But as not everyone fitting this definition identifies as trans, it is not a requisite to identify as trans for you to contribute.

We are currently trying to get an overview of who would be interested in writing something as part of this publication. If you are interested in the project, either as an author, a potential reader or in any other way, then please contact us.

The project is not for profit, and every one is unpaid. If there are any profits from sale of the book it will be donated to an organization working for trans rights.
